Historical Note:
The Research Institute on Addictions is located at 1021 Main Street in the City of Buffalo. It is a national leader in the study of alcohol and substance abuse issues. The Research Institute on Addictions' research programs, most of which have multi-year funding, are supported by federal and private-foundation grants.
History/Chronology:
- 1906 -- (January) Construction completed
- 1973 -- (November) UB's Research Center on Alcoholism, later renamed the Clinical and Research Center on Addictions, moves to 1021 Main Street
